IMTC
was founded in 2001 by three veterans of global emergency
management situations who understand the impressive power
that productive training can have in the field. Jon Olney,
Boone Emmons, and Geoff Wilford, IMTC’s founding principals,
have been engaged in the use of the Incident Command System
since its initial development in the fire service over 30
years ago.
For the last 5 years, they have been respected advisors,
actively engaged with local, state and federal agencies in
the adaptation, use and standardization of the National Incident
Management System.
IMTC faculty, now the largest DHS qualified NIMS/ICS training
staff in the country, have set the national standard
for NIMS/ICS training. They include the finest subject matter
experts who have created the current DHS training curricula.
Since experience matters both in the field and in training
for the field, IMTC features only the most qualified NIMS/ICS
and Incident Management Team trainers - seasoned men and
women who operate with the highest level of Incident Management
experience and whose teaching skills meet the most rigorous
standards of meaningful adult education.
IMTC has also incorporated its special knowledge into a
formal set of best instructional practices that are now
standard operating procedure within the organization, setting
a standard for the NIMS/ICS training industry.
